Anne enjoys helping clients and explaining accounting issues to owners and their employees. Her goal is always to find the best and most efficient ways to solve problems and help owners achieve their goals.
She has 30 years of experience working in various sectors of the public accounting industry, including the Big Four, family office and tax. In addition, she has held job positions as a Controller and a CFO, as well as an Accounting Manager and a Tax Manager.
Anne’s primary focus has been working with small- to medium-sized privately held companies, high net-worth owners and family-owned businesses. Industries she has served include transportation, construction, real estate management, manufacturing/distribution and venture capitalists. In her Controller and CFO roles, she created accounting departments, performed treasury management functions, including setting up lines of credit with banks and refinancing debt, and managed budgets and long-term projections.

Why did you choose to be a CPA and/or advisor?
I always enjoyed working with numbers and people. The numbers are often like a puzzle, which is a challenge and fun to solve, and I like people and helping them.
What do you like best about helping clients?
I enjoy helping clients achieve their dreams and goals, and I like being a part of their team to do so.
What energizes you about your job?
I enjoy getting to work with people in many different industries. It's exciting helping clients with a complicated task and be successful in completing it.
What energizes you about working at PKF Texas?
The people here are so kind and helpful to one another and truly work as one big team.
Why are you passionate about serving this niche?
I always enjoyed working as a Controller and can now use my skills and experience to help many companies.
Where are you from?
Memphis, Tennessee. I grew up there and went to college there, too, before moving to Houston.
What do you do in your spare time?
I enjoy watching my two kids play sports, family time at home, travel and reading. I am also active in my neighborhood and HOA.
What's your favorite season?
Autumn. We don't get enough of that, but I love the fall colors and crisp air.
What's your favorite sport to follow?
Basketball. My kids both played in school, and I went to both Houston Rockets' championships.
Do you own any pets?
A Cairn terrier, Toto. He is cute and has a fun personality, too.
What kind of music do you like?
Light rock/pop. The rest of the family likes country, so I now listen to that, too.
What is your favorite book/author?
Debbie Macomber. It's light reading with several series about friends and families in a small town in Washington state.
What's your favorite vacation destination?
Hawaii - that's the best, but most often we go to Florida.
Who was/is the most influential person in your life?
My Mom. She was a hard worker but passionate about kindness to animals and to other people.
What is your most-prized possession?
A signed Rockets basketball, signed by the team the year before the first championship (then had Clyde Drexler sign it after the second championship).
What's something cool we don't know about you?
I did an internship at the Tennessee State Legislature one semester in college, and still finished school in three years.
