PKF Texas Director Recognized by AICPA and CPA Practice Advisor

HOUSTON – June 14, 2018 – Danielle Supkis Cheek, CPA, CFE, CVA, has been named as one of the Most Powerful Women in the Accounting Profession of 2018 by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and CPA Practice Advisor magazine.
Supkis Cheek was presented the award on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the AICPA Engage Conference in Las Vegas, NV. This is the third year in a row she has been recognized.
“It is an honor to again be recognized alongside these incredible women,” said Supkis Cheek. “It’s an exciting time to be a woman in our profession, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to our industry.”
In its seventh year, this award is presented to 25 women who are having an impact in the accounting profession as a whole and in the lives of small practitioners. As a recipient, she will be featured on the CPA Practice Advisor magazine and website, along with other AICPA channels.
Supkis Cheek is an Entrepreneurial Advisory Services Director at PKF Texas. In addition, she is a part-time faculty lecturer at Rice University, teaching “Accounting & Data Analytics” and “Business & Financial Modeling for Entrepreneurs.”
Most recently the Houston CPA Society recognized her with the “Significant Contribution by a Member in Education” award. In 2016, Supkis Cheek was the first woman to receive the AICPA “Outstanding Young CPA of the Year” Award in honor of Maximo Mukelabai. She has also been an honoree of The CPA Practice Advisor’s “40 Under 40” for the past four years.
